GOLF

If you’re seeking championship golf, look no further than The Dye Villas. Four courses, designed by four of golf’s most inspired architects – Greg Norman, Davis Love III, Tom Fazio and Pete Dye, are waiting to challenge your skill (and possibly your patience). Ranked in Golf Digest’s Best Places to Play, each course meanders through South Carolina’s coastal landscape, providing equally memorable play and scenery.

Bordering the white sands of the Carolina Bays, The Dye Course gives golfers a healthy dose of trademark Pete Dye: Visually stunning terrain, notorious for capturing errant shots. Play it right. Play it wrong. Either way, you’ll have great stories to tell back at the clubhouse.

With seven holes along the Intracoastal Waterway, the Norman Course resembles one found in the deserts of the Southwest, but without the desert. The site’s natural vegetation frames each hole. Gentle undulating greens and riveting open fairways make this course a fun challenge for every golfer.

Native son Davis Love III embraces a tradition of Lowcountry character for the design of his Love Course. Wide-open fairways, generous landing areas, plus recreated ruins of an 18th century plantation home set the stage for an unforgettable round of golf.

The Fazio Course, like many European courses, does not return to the clubhouse after nine holes. So settle in for a lovely, long walk past live oaks and pine, native grasses and plenty of lakes. Four sets of tees allow players of all abilities to enjoy a course of championship caliber.

Sure, the game may have been born in Scotland, but it’s taken up permanent residency at The Dye Villas.
