Q: What is a Residence Club?
A: A residence club is a private, member owned residential club with luxuriously appointed, deeded condominiums in a unique setting with highly specialized services and amenities, resulting in a care-free vacation leisure lifestyle experience.
Q: What are the advantages of ownership?
A: A residence club has been designed to provide more convenience, services and amenities than are provided by an equally luxurious vacation home and even, perhaps your primary home. The Dye Villas provide you with a leisure lifestyle experience in one of the most exclusive areas of South Carolina, for the time periods that you are most likely to use it, without the hassles of year-round home ownership, and less financial commitment.
Q: How are The Dye Villas different from a timeshare development?
A: The Dye Villas are a different product than timeshare, designed for the second home buyer, used in a different manner and sold differently as well. Ownership at The Dye Villas combines all of the benefits of owning a second home with the services and amenities of a fine hotel, without the responsibility, worry or hassle of owning a second home. The Dye Villas Private Residence Club is a luxury club catering to second homeowners seeking an exceptional vacation experience and leisure lifestyle.
Q: Can my Dye Villas Ownership be sold?
A: Yes. Like any real estate, your interest may be sold, willed or transferred by the owner, subject to the Dye Villas documents and local real estate laws.
Q: Will financing be available?
A: Financing is available to allow you to easily acquire your ownership. Your share is a deeded fractional ownership. With a fee simple title you can pledge your share as collateral for a first mortgage loan. Owners will be provided with options to finance their purchase similar to financing the purchase of a second home.
Q: How often may I use my residence?
A: Virtually as often as you wish, subject to The Dye Villas’ policies and procedures. Owners have the flexibility of reserving their vacations well in advance, and also of coming on short notice. Each year club owners may reserve 56 days of planned vacations. In practice, there is no limit to the amount of use.
Q: May I purchase multiple shares?
A: You may own multiple ownership shares. A number of fractional owners purchase more than one share. In doing so they are able to spend as much time as they desire. We can develop a plan that suits your specific needs.

Q: Will I be able to use my reserved allocation at other private residence clubs?
A: Yes, through a partnership with The Registry Collection Resorts you will be able to enjoy accommodations and travel benefits in the world’s most luxurious resorts including both national and international locations, all at an extremely reasonable price.
Q: What are the club dues?
A: Owners will pay club dues for the professional management and operation of The Dye Villas, along with your membership to The Dye Club.
Q: What privileges will my ownership include?
A: Eight weeks in your luxury three bedroom, beautifully furnished and fully equipped residence. Access to our Beach Cabana, Private Dye Club member’s saltwater pool, Cybex Eagle fitness facility and a planned Barefoot Resort spa. Full membership to the exclusive Dye Club including access to the restaurant, bar and private member lounges and Dye golf course. Golf privileges at the other three Barefoot Resort Signature Championship golf courses—Norman, Love and Fazio—including the ability to call The Dye Pro Shop to schedule your tee times. A club concierge, turn down service and daily housekeeping are also available for a nominal fee.
Q: As an owner will I stay in the same residence each time?
A: Yes. Owners will purchase a specific residence. However, if you choose to visit when your unit is not available you made trade time (as available) and reside in another unit, as all units are furnished identically.
Q: Can more than one family or individual own a residence interest?
A: Yes, more than one family or individual may own a residence interest. However, it will be up to the joint owners at the time of purchase to identify the individual who will be deemed the Member and be the single point of contact.
Q: What Membership privileges are extended to guests during their stay?
A: Guests have full access to all club facilities and amenities while in residence.
Q: What is the square footage of each unit?
A: The total square footage of each unit is 1,871 sq. feet. The square footage breakdown is as follows: Heated / Cooled Space: 1,760 sq. feet Balcony: 111 sq. feet |
